SQS Standard Qualification Rules and Conditions of Use
1. Applicants Abiding by Gunpowder Mining Pty Ltd SQS Qualification Rules and Conditions of Use
All Applicants agree to abide by the Gunpowder Mining Pty Ltd SQS Rules and Conditions of Use contained in this web site.
All Applicants must complete and qualify via the online qualification process prior to them being deemed eligible to receive an inquiry for the provision of Goods or Services and/or continue with providing Gunpowder Mining Pty Ltd with the ongoing supply of Goods or Services. Refer the strict criteria for an exemption. (Note: The SQS has provision for an alternative approval process through the establishment of Criteria for Exemption.)
By registering your application for Approved Supplier Status, you hereby accept in full the Gunpowder Mining Pty Ltd SQS Qualification Rules and Conditions of Use.
Gunpowder Mining Pty Ltd reserves the right to accept/reject any, all or no application from an Applicant to register their interest in becoming an Approved Supplier.
2. Definitions
“SQS” means Supplier Qualification System.
"Gunpowder Mining" means Gunpowder Mining Pty Ltd
ABN 00 000 000 000. A fictitious company for the benefit of demonstrating to Purchasers this SQS System.
"Approved Supplier Status" and "Approved Supplier" means a company suitably qualified in Australia or Overseas, who is authorised to contract and provide Goods or Services to Gunpowder Mining, whose capacity has been reviewed, evaluated and rated by Gunpowder Mining Procurement Group and who has received formal advice from authorised Gunpowder Mining Management that their company has achieved Approved Supplier Status.
"Gunpowder Mining Procurement Group" means qualified staff/contractors assigned by Gunpowder Mining to assess each Application Submission.
"Internet" means an interconnected system of networks that connects computers around the world via the TCP/IP protocol.
"Online" means forms, web pages, links and associated terminology used by the Applicant via the Internet (SQS web site) to register their interest in becoming an Approved Supplier.
"Applicant(s)" means a company who has not previously obtained "Approved Supplier Status" but is interested in making application to Gunpowder Mining to achieve Approved Supplier Status through registering their interest in Gunpowder Mining Online SQS process.
"Application", "Application Submission" and "Submission" means the information submitted by the Applicant in response to Gunpowder Mining Qualification process – Information Required of Step 5 of the Standard SQS application process.
"Day" means business day excluding weekends and Queensland Government recognised holidays.
"Goods" means a tangible asset which is required to be delivered to a Gunpowder Mining nominated delivery point from an Approved Supplier including but not limited to equipment, materials, consumables and parts either for capital or operational requirements. This may be one or more of the following supply categories:
- Minor Onsite Goods
- Corporate Goods
- Major Onsite Engineered Equipment
- Minor Goods (Offsite)
"Services" means the necessary inputs, outputs, installation, commissioning, deliverables, action, elements, advice and/or events required from an Approved Supplier to be provided, carried out and completed to Gunpowder Mining requirements. This may be one or more of the following supply categories:
- Minor Onsite Services
- Corporate Services
- Minor Consultancy Services
- Major Consultancy Services
- Major Subcontracts (Onsite)
- Major Subcontracts (Offsite)
- Minor Offsite Services
"RFI" means Request For Information.
"RFQ" means Request For Quotation.
"ITT" means Invitation to Tender.
3. Information Submitted to Gunpowder Mining
All information detailed in this SQS web site shall be automatically forwarded to the Gunpowder Mining Procurement Group and other approved internal groups for their review, evaluation and rating.
The Applicant may at their discretion submit additional information apart from the Gunpowder Mining Information Required by attaching applicable text, word, excel, powerpoint and/or .pdf files and/or other windows compatible files in the dialogue boxes provided in this SQS process.
Please note that a 2 Megabyte (2000kb) upload restriction applies to each application.
4. Content of Information Required
Applicants shall submit information required in the section of this web site "Information Required By Gunpowder Mining Step 5" in its entirety.

The Applicants failure to complete all the Information Required may jeopardise their ability to be considered for Approved Supplier Status and may lead to their application being rejected and/or Gunpowder Mining requesting they provide further information meaning the Applicants Submission may have to be resubmitted and the review process will be extended.
5. Information Provided by Applicants
All information provided by Applicants shall be current as at the date the Applicants submitted the information to Gunpowder Mining. If during the twenty-one day Gunpowder Mining review and evaluation period there are any changes to the application submission, the Applicants shall notify Gunpowder Mining in writing via email within seven (7) days of the changes taking place.
Based on this new information Gunpowder Mining may at their sole discretion advise the Applicant whether a change in their qualification rating has taken place. This change may impact on the status of the Applicants prior Submission and will be determined by Gunpowder Mining at their sole discretion.
All information submitted to Gunpowder Mining by an Applicant including pricing (if applicable) shall be for the purposes of Gunpowder Mining evaluating the Applicants Submission. The information shall in no way be deemed to be an offer from the Applicants to contract Goods or Services with Gunpowder Mining. Additionally, information including pricing requested by Gunpowder Mining (subsequent to the Applicants achieving Approved Supplier Status) shall be deemed to be an offer not an acceptance of an offer. Gunpowder Mining reserves the right at their sole discretion to proceed with individual RFI, RFQ and ITT inquiries relating to Goods or Services.
6. Costs of Preparing the Application Submission to Gunpowder Mining and Subsequent Presentations
All costs applicable to preparing and submitting an application submission and organising presentations, if applicable in respect of this qualification process shall be borne by the Applicants.
7. Post Supplier Qualification Process
Gunpowder Mining reserves the right at their sole discretion to advise the Applicant of their intention to accept or reject their Submission to qualify as an Approved Supplier. Gunpowder Mining shall rate the Applicants Submission based on the information detailed in Step 2 Clause 4 of this SQS Rules and Conditions of Use. Gunpowder Minings decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into. Gunpowder Mining reserves the right to modify the process and the selection criteria at their sole discretion.
8. Anticipated Timeline
The following is the anticipated timeline in respect of the process involving SQS.
This is subject to change without notice and is based on Gunpowder Minings current workload capacity.
