SQS ABBREVIATIONS, DEFINITIONS AND TERMINOLOGY

Abbreviations, Definitions and Terminology used in the SQS

The Abbreviations, Definitions and Terminology detailed in the SQS are as follows:

“SQS” means Supplier Qualification System.

“SSL” means Secure Socket Layer.

"The Purchaser" means the Licensee who has the right to use the SQS Systems and Application under the terms of the licensing agreement executed with Logcon “The Licensor”.

”Logcon” means Logistics Consulting Pty Ltd, ACN: 71 089 159 231. A company based in Queensland, Australia who owns the Intellectual Property rights relating to the SQS Systems and Application, whether they be electronic or otherwise.

"Approved Supplier Status" and "Approved Supplier" means a company suitably qualified in Australia or Overseas, who is authorised to contract and provide Goods or Services to the Purchaser, whose capacity has been reviewed, evaluated and rated by the Purchasers Procurement Group and who has received formal advice from the Purchasers Management that their company has achieved Approved Supplier Status.

"90 Day Approved Supplier Status" and "90 Day Approved Supplier" means a company suitably qualified in Australia or Overseas, who is authorised to contract and provide Goods or Services to the Purchaser, whose capacity has been reviewed, evaluated and rated by the Purchasers Procurement Group and who has received formal advice from the Purchasers Management that their company has achieved Approved Supplier Status for a period of 90 days from the date of approval by the Purchaser.

"The Purchasers Procurement Group" means qualified staff/contractors assigned by the Purchaser to assess each Application.

"Internet" means an interconnected system of networks that connects computers around the world via the TCP/IP protocol.

"Online" means forms, web pages, links and associated terminology used by the Applicant via the Internet (SQS Application) to register their interest in becoming an Approved Supplier.

"Applicant(s)" (Unapproved Supplier) means a company who has not previously obtained "Approved Supplier Status" but is interested in making application to the Purchaser to achieve Approved Supplier Status through registering their interest in the Purchasers SQS Application process.

"Application", "Application Submission" and "Submission" means the information submitted by the Applicant in response to the Purchasers Qualification process – Information Required of Step 5 of the Standard SQS Application Process.

"Calendar Day" means day including weekends and Queensland Government recognised holidays.

"Working Day" means day excluding weekends and Queensland Government recognised holidays.

"Goods" means a tangible asset which is required to be delivered to the Purchasers nominated delivery point from an Approved Supplier including but not limited to equipment, materials, consumables and parts either for capital or operational requirements. This may be one or more of the following Goods Category Groupings:

  • Minor Onsite Goods
  • Corporate Goods
  • Major Onsite Engineered Equipment
  • Minor Goods (Offsite).

"Services" means the necessary inputs, outputs, installation, commissioning, deliverables, action, elements, advice and/or events required from an Approved Supplier to be provided, carried out and completed to the Purchasers requirements. This may be one or more of the following Services Category Groupings:

  • Minor Onsite Services
  • Corporate Services
  • Minor Consultancy Services
  • Major Consultancy Services
  • Major Subcontracts (Onsite)
  • Major Subcontracts (Offsite)
  • Minor Offsite Services.

"RFI" means Request For Information.

"RFQ" means Request For Quotation.

"ITT" means Invitation to Tender.
