SQS SUPPLY MANAGER
INFORMATION SYSTEM
About the SQS
The Supplier Qualification System (SQS) was conceived in 2003 and is the realisation of an initial concept whereby it was believed that efficiencies, standardisation and strategic procurement principles could be achieved by designing and rolling out a web based system to allow:
- both Suppliers and Purchasers to collaborate using the Internet
- Suppliers to electronically submit to a Purchaser their application to supply Goods or Services to their project or initiative
- Purchasers to receive electronic applications from Suppliers
- Purchasers to qualify and grade Suppliers based on their performance
- Purchasers to make informed decisions on who they should carry out business with based on assessing a Suppliers application on its merit
- the secure management of supply data including its collection, transmittal, storage and retention to influence purchasing decisions and assess commercial risk.
