Exemption to Qualifying via the SQS

The SQS System provides for an Applicant to apply for an exemption to the Standard SQS application process under strict criteria. The exemption page is detailed below:

EXEMPTION TO APPLICANT QUALIFYING VIA THE SQS PROCESS

All Applicants are required to complete the Standard SQS process.

The only exceptions to this rule are:

1. GUNPOWDER MINING HEIGHTENED COMMERCIAL OR OPERATIONAL RISK - APPROVAL WITHIN ONE HOUR OF APPLICATION

Where an approved Gunpowder Mining manager/executive has the authority to temporarily permit/approve an Applicant to provide Goods or Services to Gunpowder Mining based on an urgent need, whereby a refusal from Gunpowder Mining would incur either a high level operational OR commercial risk to them. This is not an open ended approval and would be reviewed in three (3) working days by Gunpowder Mining management. After which time the Applicant shall be required to apply for Supplier Qualification via the Gunpowder Mining SQS System.

2. APPLICANTS COMPLETING THE FAST TRACK SQS PROCESS

Where an Applicant has a current working history with Gunpowder Mining and may be eligible to apply via the SQS Fast Track process. Note: This is only a temporary approval process and all Applicants are required to apply through the Standard SQS process within 90 days of their temporary Approved Supplier Status being confirmed.
