FAST TRACK APPLICATION PROCESS

Can an “Unapproved Supplier” supply Goods or Services to the Purchaser?

This is entirely at the sole discretion of the Purchasers executive/management and is based on operational and commercial risk factors. The SQS has a Fast Track Application module designed for this need if required.

What are examples of where Unapproved Suppliers can register their application via the SQS Fast Track Application?

For an Unapproved Supplier to register via the Fast Track method the following strict criteria applies:

Where the Purchasers manager/executive has the authority to temporarily permit/approve an Applicant to provide Goods or Services to the Purchaser based on an urgent need, whereby a refusal from the Purchaser may incur either a high level operational OR commercial risk.

This is not an open-ended approval and would be reviewed in three (3) working days by the Purchasers management. After which time the Applicant shall be required to apply via the Purchasers Standard SQS Application process.

2. APPLICANTS COMPLETING THE FAST TRACK SQS PROCESS

Where an Applicant has a current working history with the Purchaser and may be eligible to apply via the SQS Fast Track process. Note: This is only a temporary approval process and all Applicants are required to apply through the Standard SQS process within 90 days from their temporary Approved Supplier Status being confirmed.

What questions are asked by the Purchaser in the SQS Fast Track application module?

The questions asked in the Fast Track SQS qualification method are:

  1. Has your company supplied either GOODS or SERVICES to the Purchaser continuously over the last two (2) years?
  2. Has your company established a positive business relationship with the Purchaser in respect of the required expectations either being meet or exceeded

  8. Is the company you represent legally authorised to provide either Goods or Services to the Purchaser in Australia?

All of the above questions must be answered in the positive otherwise the Fast Track Application will be rejected by the Purchaser with the exception of the Purchasers manager or executive overriding this rule based on heightened commercial or operational risk as a result of not engaging this Supplier promptly.
